ANTEATERS AND MEDICINE ABROAD
Anteaters and Medicine Abroad (AMA) is a charitable organization at University of California, Irvine, aimed at providing health care for international countries. With the help of student volunteers and healthcare professionals, AMA will participate in a surgical camp located in India this summer. Leading this surgical camp will be Dr. Nitin Shah, an anesthesiologist affiliated with University of California Irvine Medical Center and VA hospital in Long Beach, who has participated in multiple surgical clinics abroad in areas such as India, Africa, and Haiti.
MISSION:
Currently, AMA is seeking donations to cover the costs of a surgical clinic and basic medical supplies for people in rural South India. The surgeries that will be performed include: hydrocele, hernia correction, cleft-palate, and circumcisions. Please help Anteaters and Medicine Abroad towards reaching their goal of $15,000. Any donation would be most appreciated.
